The Clue

During a death validation review, our team encountered an obituary featuring a photo of the decedent on a Harley-Davidson. While the death record itself was plausible, we needed additional confirmation to confidently tie it to the correct individual—especially given multiple similar name matches.

The Trail

The photo led us to search vehicle registration history. The Harley seen in the obituary was registered in the same location listed in the potential death record. That alignment helped us confirm that this was the correct match.

The Truth

By leveraging visual context and cross-referencing it with registration data, our team validated the record with confidence—ensuring the result was both accurate and defensible.

Typical matching algorithms can’t analyze images. But human validation can turn a single visual detail into the key to confirming identity. In this case, a motorcycle photo led us to the right location—and the right person.
